Turn Your Dreams into Reality

December 7th, 2006 | Michael Pink

Yesterday, I told you about how to gain incredible effectiveness in something I call the “Nectar Sector”. It’s where you use one or more methods adapted from the rainforest for setting up a “no-pest zone” to quintuple your output in very short order.

Today, I want to share another invaluable lesson from the rainforest that can make your business take off like never before. God made the rainforest and He reveals His nature and power in the things He has made (Rom 1:20). Solomon used things like trees and birds to pass on wealth secrets to the kings of the earth. (I Kings 4)

In the rainforest, there is tremendous competition for the light. In fact, only 2% of the sunlight ever reaches the ground. Plants spend more of their resources to place their leaves in the light than they actually spend producing the leaf in the first place. Light is analogous to vision. If you want to succeed in your endeavor, you will need to have clear, unambiguous vision. You will also have to invest more time making sure the team is in tune with the vision than you will in picking the team!

Although light is about vision, it also enables photosynthesis which is the process of converting light energy (vision), water (information) and animal respiration (effort) into something tangible like a tree (business) that thrives. In short, trees convert inspiration or vision into innovation. The process they use when adapted to business will propel you like nothing else.

On Tuesday, December 12th, we are releasing the most anticipated teaching series in our history (7 Wealth Secrets of the Rainforest). Those who have heard it say it will be the one we will be remembered for. Among other things, you will learn how to transform great ideas into tangible realities that meet the needs of others while providing very well for you. Don’t miss your email on Tuesday. We will make you an offer you won’t want to turn down.

I have always found your daily comments an inspiration and looked forward to the next day’s insight. However, I have been disappointed when the daily message includes promotion/advertising for your products. I believe this advertising dulls the power of your messages and should be distributed via separate emails.

Jerry; Thanks for your comment. My intent was to provide content that was meaningful but that would also pique your interest for what’s coming instead of just throwing a separate email to you on a topic that you weren’t prepared for. I agree that the content is diluted a little that way, but as you are aware, the vast majority of emails are undiluted. I guess Jerry, as I spend more time researching and writing it diminishes time I could be spending on “paid” work. As you know, I pass on these nuggets of truth for free so I look for inobtrusive ways to create interest in products we actually get paid for so I can keep providing this for free instead of on a paid subscription. We have an office with three full time staff not counting me. I hope that helps you understand why I slip things in along the way. They are little “plugs” that hopefully will garner interest and result in revenue which keeps everything running smoothly. If you care to email me other suggestions for accomplishing this, I would be happy to hear them.

    Warmest regards,

    Michael

Thank you Michael for your articles. I’ve passed them on to some of my friends and family. I appreciate your time and efforts in sharing your experience and knowledge with us. I welcome your “plugs”, I agree with you whole heartedly.
    God Bless!

Michael, I appreciate your blogs and the information that you do give for free.

I subscribe to several e-newsletters, some free and some not, some Christ based some work related. Your information is as helpful as the ones I pay for. Most of the free ones I get are flat out infomercials for buying their product, or really have little content in them.

Again, thanks for your blog and the quality of ithe information.

Maybe some of the readers are expecting this to be their daily quiet time series. While this blog is Christ centered, it shouldn’t replace time in the word. I use it as a way to strengthen my marketplace walk. While it is thought provoking, it is not scripture. Nor I’m sure was it ever intended to be…

    Michael, your information is priceless.

I find it very usable in my sites for advising my members of how to function online, and how to “turn their dreams into reality” as you say!

    Keep it up!!!
