I love the verses that lead up to that one: "Rejoiceint eh Lord ALWAYS!" "The Lord is near." "Do not be anxious about ANYTHING." "Present your requests to God." Those are all true, noble, right and pure admonishments from Paul. If we do this, pray, we're promised the peace of God. Great and timely verse, Michael. I love the verses that lead up to that one:

Those are all true, noble, right and pure admonishments from Paul.

And our love to others is not our making much of them, but helping them to find satisfaction in making much of God. True love aims at satisfying people in the glory of God. Any love that terminates on man is eventually destructive. It does not lead people to the only lasting joy, namely, God.
