I just emailed him a cover letter and resume. In the spirit of a salesman, I will take the initiative and call the office soon instead of waiting for him to call me!

Thanks,

Mr. Pink:

Thanks for the comment and the referral to Mr. Shelby. Actually, I spoke to Mr. Shelby late last year about a position but he decided to go with someone else.

I reckon it wouldn't hurt to try again - being in sales - you have to be persistent, especially when looking for a job!

Again, thanks and God bless!

Hey Stve; As always I appreciate your feedback. You are such a blessing to me as well! What the abbreviated note says is "Join us tonight for details." In other words, I am making it clear there is more to the story.

And for that story, you are invited to join us tonight. That's because I can't tell the story in the email. It is true there is a $495 investment. But what do you get for that investment? I have to then explain it all and that would take a long email and still not contain the information revealed in the teleconference.

I will wager that no one thought for a moment the $400 worth of business tools came without strings attached. Of course there are conditions and I couldn't explain them in the email. That's why I invited folks back to tonights call. It is a teaser, but it was not misleading.

In many ways God has given us a foretaste of things to come. The Holy Spirit was given as "earnest" or downpayment of things to come. We have many symbols in the Bible that draw us in to the mystery of God while promising a fuller revelation - the details if you will - when we get to Heaven.

It is wrong to bait and switch but it is ethical and effective to bait. That's what I was doing. Why? Because I know that folks will be very glad they came and many will benefit greatly from Eric's offer. Hope this helps a bit my friend. Blessings.

Michael, you are such a blessing. Thank you for these recent insights. May I make a suggestion on how you are marketing Eric's "MRI" materials? Your tag at the end of today's message says we can get $400 of materials FREE. That is not the whole truth. The whole truth is that the buyer must first invest $495. I've seen too many marketing "guru's" use this technique. My response is, if it's free, send it to me! Then they start backpedaling. Your stuff is good enough to stand on it's own, and I assume that is the case with Eric's stuff also, or you wouldn't affiliate with him. So I encourage you to let the Lord show you a better way to tell the "whole truth" and still get the reader's interest. We love you and pray for you, and we are so thankful for the insights that God has given you to share with others.

I am currently in between full-time jobs because of a desire to keep a good name and not compromise my convictions due to :

1. The previous company expecting me to periodically travel alone with a female employee. I actually did this the first couple of times but decided I would not do that anymore. I got into hot water with my direct manager over this. Many verses in the Bible (Joseph and Potiphar's wife, 2 Tim 2:22, Proverbs 22:3, Jeremiah 17:9, 1 Thessalonian 5:22, etc.) seem to suggest that I should not put myself in that kind of situation.
2. Our company president (who about three years ago encouraged me to cheat on my wife at a sales meeting) was indicted late last year on child pornography and was eventually fired.
3. A few female customers/potential customers coming on to me.
4. A vast increase in the number of female employees (particularly sales reps and marketing specialists) that would result in potentially very awkward and morally compromising situations.

Nothing against female employees, but applying Daniel 5 to this situation, I "saw the handwriting on the wall" and believed this was God's way of preparing me to leave my former employer.

While I have not yet found a full-time job, I trust that God will lead me to a new one for His glory soon. With over 10 years' successful outside sales and account management experience and a Bachelor's in Business, I believe that He is preparing me for something better.

Please do pray for me as I seek His guidance in the next phase of my career!

Thanks.
