Let me start by saying, I in NO WAY support Obama - however - mis-information is mis-information.. Obama was not sworn in on the Koran - it was Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison who chose the Koran.

Robert,

Thanks for your comments. In terms of finding out the views of other candidates, we posted a follow-up to the blog entry that you read which included a handful of other sites that would provide more insight into the the candidates views.

<a href="http://www.sellingamongwolves.com/blog/2008/01/25/a-concerned-geek-on-the-presidential-candidates/"> Here's that post.</a>

Hope this helps. Thank you for participating in the discussion.

Thompson was my first choice and the survey agreed.
I was very surprised to find that McCain more closely matched my views than did Huckabee (my personal second choice).
In addition to the social issues mentioned here, I am also interested in the views of both the Democratic and Republican candidates are concerning the state of Israel and the U.S. relationship with Israel.
Having taken his Senate oath of office on the Koran rather than on the Bible, I believe we can determine Obama's views. What about the views of the other candidates? Is there a related website?

I've sat here for 10 minutes absolutely speechless. It isn't just a matter of morality - it's MURDER. Pure and simple. Sugar coat it however you want to. As a Christian - the abortion issue will always be at the top of my list.

Hello all,

This was quite interesting.

For me the saddest thing reading from the comments is that abortion is such an important issue for many people. Come on people, abortion happens period, legal or illegal, also I'm not an abortion proponent, I've seen the resulting death in the "should-have-been mothers".

God showed Israel that legislated morality doesn't work, so we think we can do better than God, that legislating morality is going to work now? The only thing that will change peoples hearts is to change people's hearts. If I'm OK with robbing, stealing, murder, rape, etc. and I do those things aren't they already against the law? So they shouldn't exist right?

Getting involved in people's lives will change the way people think, and a 30 second prayer is not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about living like Jesus did, meeting with people, eating with people, showing people hope, letting people find faith.

Christianity should be about common unity, shared wealth, and interdependence, that is what Jesus taught, correct? So if Huckabee or whoever abolishes the IRS, income taxes, etc. then we as The Church will take over all of the needs of our nation, our states, our counties, and our cities, our towns, our villages, and our neighborhoods that will not be met by doing away with income taxes.

As if you can't tell I'm a die hard Christian Demo-publican, Jesus was for the people why not have a political agenda for "all of the people" not just the wealthy?

BTW, my poll result was Hillary, imagine that!

Ron Paul supporters (and even you Romney or McCain people) please VOTE for MIKE HUCKABEE if you want to abolish the IRS and Income Taxes, balance the budget, and cut spending! Mike Huckabee is the most principled candidate and one thing he has promised is to put the out of business sign on the door of the IRS!

Here's another interesting site taht allows you to take a poll and then tells you how your responses line up with several of teh candidates. Ron Paul is excluded, but the others are there. Interesting...
