You asked for thoughts on the "soft skills". Humility seems to be simply what happens when we "see" things as they really are. It results when we are close to Him. "In His sight" we humble ourselves. The reverential, worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We are not to be unaware of the schemes of the enemy to keep us from being close to Him (offense, condemnation, etc.) and to try to get us to take His glory (the credit for what He does) by bringing the deception of the stranger's flattering voice to our ear.
