This Recession Is Your Opportunity

There is a sentiment I am picking up from the Body of Christ that there is a reprieve of sorts – a window of opportunity that has opened – where before the shift comes in a big way, there is opportunity both to get your financial house in order and to prepare to seize the opportunities that lay ahead of us. Both ideas are interrelated as you cannot seize on the new opportunities if you are strapped and burdened by the past.
I heard from an intercessor in Nigeria (Yemi Issachar) who is a watcher of the global economy. This is what God has been showing him… “The recession today I believe is God’s making, to pave great ways and open serious opportunities for His children to follow a narrow path everybody ignores to become the new leaders in the new USA that God is building. This is the year of open doors and God is the one at the centre of all these shakings to propel His own to a new beginning.”
Friends, we need to take some bold steps this year to eradicate debt and position ourselves not only financially but in a host of other ways to step up into the positions of authority God has for us in the marketplace. He will not give it to us if we are unprepared, ill-equipped and unbelieving. We must rise up on the inside to accept the challenge of the Holy Spirit before us, to get trained, get positioned and take territory. Want to catch that train?

I agree! It is time for the body of Christ to come out of debt! Not only financial debt… So many are in debt to their health. They know they are living on borrowed time and yet they continue to live and eat and party like there is literally no tommorrow! I see people in debt to their emotions… anxiety, anger, rage, unforgiveness, depression… the list is almost endless. The interest rate they pay is high, in their ability to love and trust and empathise and show compassion. They are debt emotionally and can not seem to get out! The Bible says we are to owe no man anything except love… GET OUT OF DEBT, Brothers and Sisters. We have a mighty work to do in the Kingdom and we can’t do it robbing Peter to pay Paul, in ANY area!

Excellent word to give heed to. Yes, there is a “train” to catch; ONE which carries the unadulterated GOSPEL OF CHRIST JESUS–”TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL OF YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.”
There are also MANY trains to AVOID and not get in front of or on; like the train of debt–loans to pay loans, trains that carry the world-system’s messages from straight out of hell, trains that are broken–dead-religious traditions which carry “forms of godliness, but deny the power of God; FROM SUCH TURN AWAY; trains that deliver fear, apathy, perverse “Christian” messages, etc etc etc.
Pray for the brethren faithfully.

Eliminating our debt is one of our top priorities this year, and thank the Lord we are almost there! The lesson from my pastor keeps ringing in my ear “what you do with your little tells what you will do with your much”. I believe we have to learn to be better stewards of what we(my family) have before we can ve trusted with more. Great Post.

Michael, that is such a great word and one that we ALL need to adhere to. We’ve heard for years the need to get out of debt but, until now, many of us have only half-heartedly gotten on board. Jeff is right, we are stewards and need to be found worthy.

Thank you for the conformation of what I have been praying for is coming to pass. I know that America will cease to be a major player in the end times. I have believed that as the Lord promised not to destory Sodom and Gamorah if at least 10 righteous could be found in these cities, so I believe the same goes for America. It is not our own righteiousness that God looks at but the righteiousness of HIS SON who’s blood covers HIS redeemed. So to finally hear that someone is prophecing the blessing of GOD on the nation of the USA for HIS redeemed is so overwhelming I have to shout ” Glory to GOD on high for HIS mercy that HE is faithful to HIS WORD. The tears come to my eyes and I clap my hands that it is coming to pass at last. Praise the Lord for HIS goodness. This is such wonderful news to me, you will never know how much you have blessed me and I pray the Lord will let me live to see it come into fruition in my time.

I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. Our debt that we carry or have carried much too long is a hindrance to our spirits. The Church is us and if we are in debt, where is the Church? Also in debt! We need to unhamper ourselves, give to the Church on an even greater level than before and watch the seeds of prosperity begin to take root in us.
Not that it’s money we seek, but that it’s a measure of who we have become; materialistic and “wanting it now” thinking. As “little children” of Father Almighty, we need to seek after Him and not our own greedy ways. When we plant our thoughts and actions in Him, He will in turn plant the seeds of revival and prosperity in us.

I just wanted to say “I’m ready” and I’m willing to do whatever the Lord directs me to do to “get prepared.” Your message gave me a new hope where I was beginning to lose heart for the “hope of America” since all I have seen reported in the media are the signs of destruction. But, suddenlly I realize that God is still in control and now I see that the “shaking” is a good thing and the “salt” is coming out-we only need to keep looking up to Jesus and not turn back in disobedience like Lot’s wife - no we move forward - beyond the politics - despite the economy - we go not by sight but by faith in Jehovah Jireh - our provider.
The old structures are coming down - even while it looks like the new age is being lifted up - (aka Obama-nation) As long as we keep lifting up the Lord - He will show us how to live the abundant life He promises in John 10:10B. No matter what the devil does in John10:10A We can still be what God has called us to be if we walk in “B” Thank you for reminding us that it’s His truth that sets us free - in any economy, in all situations.

A question for Michael: Are you including a mortgage for a personal home as part of the debt we need to be free from? No home equity loan? Or are you mostly talking about consumer debt?

Michael, thank you for bring this awareness to all. Yes as one who is experiencing this. May I give you, readers a testimony of opportunities (open doors) God is providing for such a time as this. My parents (in their 70s) became instant millionaires just recently and they blessed their children in giving us part of our inheritance (note: inheritance are received when a will is executed and supposedly after death) BUT GOD… intend that He will execute His Will to be done to His children to set a path for the generation to come to be debt free. In giving us part of our inheritance now there is still more to come… I am now on a journey of getting debt free so that I can provide for my own children and grand children. Testimonies are meant as a momentum for those who have ears to hear (Bill Johnson) to ride on like a wave (I’m not a surfer but come on board). Let faith rise and multiply for the impossible!

I agree with what you are saying. I am renting right now and want to buy a house but keep feeling a “check” in my spirit to wait and pay down debt.

Yes! Yes Michael ! For 10 months prior to 2008 I heard teachings after teachings, seed being planted about the year 2008 coming. 8 being God’s number of new beginnings! Books that began to flow to me,one Releasing the money anointing forwarded by Dr Mark Hanby,the other from you Michael,”Rich church, poor church” by John Louis Muratori, excellent anointed material and,life changing!………Surely God was preparing me for his year of blessing his children,and opening the flood gates of heaven upon his children……….all for his Kingdom to progress on the earth as it is in Heaven!……God knows it takes money! to progress His Kingdom! To SWW who has a check in his spirit about buying now,verses renting,God just led me to a forecloser home in a 250 to 300 thousand dollar neighborhood got it from the bank for 119,000 thousand……….I know God wants to bless his children!………oh” it only needs paint and some new carpet!……..pray about it! this word is right on Michael! Abraham is the Bible sent into the world; Sarah and Agar are by revelation not people but figuratively are the two Covenants in the Bible. Gal 4:21-24, 2 Corinth 3:5-6.
Which of the two covenants are you born of? Gal. 4:19-31.
Are you born of Covenant Sarah or Covenant Agar?
Are you born of the old Carnally taught handwritten Bible Covenant/ ordinances, written in black and white from the Book Genesis to the Book of Revelation, called the letter OR are you born of the New Covenant Bible ordinances taught by God (Spirit of God)? God makes the old handwritten Bible New when He explains the very old handwritten ordinances in His wisdom and knowledge hence making a new Covenant with you. He makes the Old ordinances explained carnally to become new ordinances by explaining them in His wisdom and knowledge in you. By doing this in you, God abolishes the old ordinances in you who have received the new Bible explanation of the Holy Spirit but He does not abolish them out of the Bible.
The Spirit of God teaches and explains the handwritten Bible, precept by precept from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation in a new way in His wisdom and knowledge which erases or crucifies the old carnal ordinances of the old Bible (Son of Man) and resurrects them to become resurrected New Ordinances (Christ) the Son of God) taught by the Holy Spirit. FRANK R, funny you say that. I have went to seminars, studied, looked for and tried to find one to buy since 1985! I finally ask God is this just not for me? I know it works and that is great you found one. I am letting God work it out this time. Sometimes not everyone is blessed the same way. Just like how Jesus healed people diffrently everytime. The revelatory Bible is revealed in you to become the revelatory New Covenant Ordinances.
If you are meek and obedient, the New revealed Christ, the engrafted Holy Spirit New covenant Bible ordinances can be written in your heart and can save your SOUL. This can only be possible when God erases the Old covenant Bible ordinances of darkness that are against the carnal followers and establishes the New covenant ordinances of light explained and interpreted in saints and in the Bible by the power of the Holy Spirit. THE CONCLUSION.
The New Covenant Bible Ordinances are grafted in the old handwritten Bible Covenant Ordinances.
The Bible taught by the Holy Spirit in the wisdom and knowledge of God (Christ) is different from the Bible taught in human wisdom and knowledge (MOSES).

Boldness is the Requirement for Gospel preaching, and not the shy, timid brethren that continue to tell a lie about Christ and serve the god of this world by the handwritten Bible Word of darkness. 2 Corinth 4, Isaiah 45:7-8, 1 John 2: 7-8. Rev 21: 7-10, 27.
The Lord is leading a great host of preachers to proclaim the good news of His kingdom. You and I can join the great host of the sons of God to break the Good News. The first quality of this team is to be bold to proclaim the good news irrespective our what our family will do and say. We must also be careful of what our church members, organizations, families and friends will say to destroy our boldness. But we must stick to the message the Holy Spirit is continuing to reveal in the Bible. We must be bold so that we can even help those who discourage us to speak out the truth. wow… so amazing…..This is fantastic! Im so glad about God is working out things in these last days which will point many eyes to him…the world will be shaking…storms of many types…but God people (who will stay by God) will be protected, even being stable all while everything else is shaking….now we look funny to many…but later many will understand, even being drawn to those who live for & hope in God…we can be a light…God is in controll…no better friend than one that sees the beginning to the ending..we must stay by him..how exicting…but so much work to do….God will have the glory in these days, and it will allow for his people to shine even more, giving hope, able to help as he empowers us….wooo wee! adventures & blessings in God…this is his message..so good..amen
