Multiplication is Better…

September 15th, 2008 | Michael Q. Pink

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful,
and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it:” Gen 1:28

Four things. Simple, yet profoundly important for succeeding
in business. Rule number one was to be fruitful. Create
something of excellence, worthy of duplication. Create
something others would want. The better you are at step one,
the more important step two becomes.

Step two is multiply. Don’t try to multiply the franchise,
the product, the service until it is first of all proven to
be fruitful as a stand alone. Once it is proven, you are
ready to multiply. The secret to multiplication is systems.
The better the system, the faster you can multiply. Go back
about 100 years ago when there were hundreds of car
manufacturers in America. They would work hard all day
crafting an original masterpiece of a car. The next day they
would do it all over again. They weren’t multiplying – they
were adding!

Along comes Henry what’s his name and he streamlined the
manufacturing process based on Adam Smith’s economic
philosophy outlined in The Wealth of Nations, where men
focused on one aspect of the production and left the rest to
others. The work was terribly mundane but the pay was the
best in the country and the Ford motor car became the best
selling automobile in the country.

If you have been fruitful with an idea and it is working for
you, it may be time to multiply. If it is, you will need to
set up systems for sales, marketing, accounting,
communication, etc that integrate with each other. If you
need a little help transitioning to the multiplication
phase, drop me a line. I am introducing a coaching program
in a few weeks aimed at helping people do just that and a
lot more.

Speaking of multiplying… last week in Austin, I met a couple
of kingdom minded internet entrepreneurs who are widely
respected for their accomplishments and their walk with God.
One of them, Matt Gillogly has been very successful in
coaching people and shared with me that he is having a three
day event for a small group of folks interested in learning
how to do what he does. I believe the attendance is limited
to about 25 because he will be recording this entire
program.

There will be no pitches for product or upsell to additional
services. Just three days of training on how to run a
successful coaching business. I plan to attend because I
want to know the best methods, systems and technologies
available to help me provide coaching to many of you
beginning in October. If you are a coach or considering that
as a career, you might want to check it out.
Maybe I will
see you there. It’s October 2 – 4 in Charlotte, NC.

What is involved in being a lifecoach? Are there specific requirements? I hired one last year, and would like to consider training to be one.

Michael as always there is wisdom in your words! Don’t think I’m quite ready for coaching just yet though. Maybe after another year or so of being on your mailing list it could be possible.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being one of the good guys. Not all Internet marketers out there are as, how can I put this? Clean mouthed and honest as you are.
I’m on a lot of their lists but when they get foul mouthed or shady in any way I opt out in a heart beat. Actually look forward to yours because of the truth and wisdom that you have to share! Sorry to get off base of the subject but just had to say that.
Back on track now: We loose a little in translation from Greek to English and the way you are presenting this verse a better translation would have the word then vs. and. Proverbs 24:27 goes along with this. Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the feild; and afterwards build thy house. In other words first things first.
There is no point in multiplying if you are not going to be fruitful. How many lives would that have saved it that was taught in third world countries
how much welfare would it have saved the US?
Hosea 4:6 pretty well sums it up. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Here is the bottom line: In America God has been pretty much taken out of our schools and common since isn’t taught by teachers or parents much any more. So this old world needs people like Michael Q. Pink to spread the truth and wisdom around the world! May God bless you!

    Dear Michael,

Thank you for extracting these principles from this scripture. They are gems of wisdom!

Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.

    Blessings,

God works in wonderful ways. I use to receive these e-mails from Selling among wolves then I stoped them, I enjoyed reading them it was very motivational, then our company told us that we receive alot of information that is not OUR work related. Hi, I am a PA in a civil engineering company in SOUTH AFRICA. I didn’t need training in marketing or anything - - - UNTIL NOW.
God has introduced a product to my husband and I which we are running with which requires marketing. God has favour on our lives and we are blowing the people away, We have a Spring Academy this weekend where people want to meet us to find out how we do it……… Well it is not us it is GOD HELLOW!!!! Anyway Neither one of us have marketing skills, husband is a assistant financial director - (which helps also) but God has plans for us. So I scratched out some of my stuff that I printed years ago on selling among wolves and re-subscribed. So I am back and starting to understand things better.

So Hi, and please keep feeding me with this information. I would love to advertise but what I really need is encouragement We have a product that works, is fruitful, is multiplying all we have to do is use the products on ourselves and testify, show the results and the people take to it. God gave us life and life abundantly - alot of people don’t show that ‘life’ part very well. The principles of the company are great, their training is great I just don’t want to miss out on anything. So if I sound shallow with questions or somethings I don’t understand please bear with me. Michael I don’t want to just read your stuff anymore, God has encouraged us to do something about the information we receive, put everything into practice. Like Henry Ford - they didn’t take away from their design they ADDED to it. Now what my hubby and I are doing is working we would like to add to it to reach more people that we can help….

PS…. THIS WAS JUST TO SAY HI AND INTRODUCE MYSELF AND SAY I AM ALSO ON BOARD. HELLO EVERYONE
