Incredible News! It is Raining Favors!

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20)
This morning I saw a picture of the free favors of God profusely abounding in 2009. They were raining down from heaven more like the kind of rain that has big drops and looks more like spitting than a downpour. You can see the individual drops because they are big, but not so many as to be considered a deluge, though it is usually an indicator that a deluge is on the way.
In the vision that played out for me, it was obvious that most folks couldn’t see the rain because it wasn’t physical water. It was the favors of God falling from Heaven for whosoever would receive them. I could see them and I was running out excitedly with a bucket to catch all the favors I could. My plan was to fill the bucket and then get another bucket and keep filling them until the rain of favors stopped. (To everything there is a season.)
It reminded me of the widow that was besieged by creditors and Elisha told her to borrow all the empty pots she could get her hands on. (See 2 Kings 4:1-7) Is anyone reading this besieged by creditors today? Then on Elisha’s command, she poured out the oil she had in one pot into all the others until every pot was full from just one pot of oil. The supply only ran out when her capacity was exhausted. She set the limits of her capacity by the number of pots she collected. What is your capacity set for in 2009?
Here’s what I believe God is showing me. Get in on it if you want to. In 2009, God will be raining favors from Heaven. I am speaking of unmerited blessing just because He delights to do so. But these favors have to be caught. You need to get your faith bucket out and run outside and catch them. Hebrew tradition says that the way you catch God’s promises is to say “Amen” to them. When you say “Amen” you are saying “I believe. So be it!”
Most folks are going to choose to receive the promises of bad news, of economic turmoil instead of the favors of God. They will believe the news that is neither fair, nor balanced instead of the promises of God. Here’s the deal folks. It’s going to be both! A lot of turmoil is on the way but it is ALSO the year of abundance of favors. This will be our best year ever and it can be for you as well.
I am telling you that God is raining down favors right now. My suggestion to you is that you boldly ask God for favors. BE SPECIFIC. He is handing them out left and right. In fact, He is raining them down. Boldly come to the throne of Grace. Receive His favors. Expect great things this year. Don’t be dismayed by the bad economic news nor get your joy from the seemingly good news that may pop up when the stock market has a good day. Say “Yes!” and “Amen!” to the promises of God and you will catch them. What are you waiting for? It’s raining right now. Get your bucket and go!

Oh, how I needed to read this message this morning! Thank you for sharing what God lays on your heart to share with us. He has been telling me to have faith that He will bless me and this was more confirmation that He is always faithful to His promises to His children. God bless you!

All I can say is Yea and Amen. It is very uplifting to me to associate with those that are on the same page. I believe that if you will read a little further in 11Kings starting at 6:24 thru chap 7 you will find a place in history that is similar to ours today and it is Gods intent to do today as much as He did for them back then.

I truly believe that is so. New year the Lord gave me a word for 2009: That it is going to be a year of refining. Submitting to the refining is bringing the abundant blessing. The sons to be made known and to receive.
But also the refining being the Bride in the preparation to be spotless for the Bridegroom coming. Abundant life.

Now that’s what I am talking about…I am not signing up for the depression, suppression, bad economy etc. I totally unplugged from the nay sayers and am not listening to all the doom and gloom…I chose not to listen to Mr. Obam’s state of the union address last night, didn’t want it to get into my spirit.
I’m getting my buckets ready NOW!!!

What a time to be living in God. Gods glory will be shown in the earth. many will see, and we must shre christ.amen-too excited.. oh the attack is real too tho.. and god is preparing a people… prophteic anointing is pouring out- im amazed..god is amazing- his spirit will work thru us. his will must be done.. many will see the works of the LORd, and will come to him amen .The faithful will be blessed. Many baskets, many containers-mulitple molds, i keep hearing many baskets -not one..for, we have many responsibilities, and $$$ for KOG…for gods work to be done in the earth…we are in the finale.. god is setting up- this confirms- so excited- praise god. his will will be done in the earth.and it is so.what a time to be in the earth.. vessels…will be filled & poured out..josephs..distributors…so that many praise god, come to god, know god.. amen- willing will be used for his glory- so good. yes & amen.

verse 20 is talking about God’s promises find their fulfillment in Christ, indicating that their scripture should be read as pointing to Christ. Paul is agreeing with this.

Many wont see this, for they are unbelieving, fearful, asleep, too busied in own agenda & desires..but, God says that he is empowering many to get, for his purposes..who then is that faithful & wise servant…. god is looking, and those who are to get are knowing, even have confirmation & have been given opened eyes to money- even free money- even multiple streams- even hidden things…many wont recieve this, nor will they be ready to recieve blessing through a way that god woupd have revealed to a mind… not all will get this.. but, im so excited for our times… not an excitement for $$$$4..but, for his purposes will be done in the earth. indeed, god is speaking this..but, its not for all. any unbelieving willnot have, but will see it.. says god.. but, god is dropping inventions, ideas, pathways, hidden things into many…and it will come- even so now.. for, his will will be done in the earth- for his purposes..says tha LORD. amen. its coming, people… fantastic..for his glory..but any with fear, unbelief, too much focused on self & mans reasoning, asleep, or a religous-spirit or pharisee spirit wont get it, nor decern the times, nor recieve the word.. but god is raising many up, they are as in cacoons, many are being prepared, even to speak forth & to create, god is dropping dreams/visions… this is his word. amen…continue to share- im so excited.. i had once not believed..until god was waking me up, and showing me things- i sense, hear him speaking, and even his WORd, and even this word, words in these blogs confirm the word of the LORD.amen.god is doing a new thing.. for his purposes.amen.praise him.

Yes, that is a good word Michael. It has helped clarify some things about the times and the season for me.
As I write this The Holy Spirit reminds me already this year that my family has seen great favor, after a particularly difficult season. We are building for the future, yet God has persisted in the now with us, and has blessed us daily with some wonderful serendipities. He is answering our prayers in a way that I have not seen for many years.
As a person I feel truly blessed, but also feel a sense of responsibility to make sure that we manage what He provides for us, so that we also are not over run. We continue to seek Him, and ask for His wisdom and understanding to guide us through this wonderful season. I for one will be bolder in my petitions. Now I am challenged about what to ask for - the need to be specific. A sense of excitement and anticipation about the possibilities has flooded my soul, and this is encouraging me to further clarify what the future can look like. I do believe that we should start with the end in mind, and at the same time, enjoy the moment that God has given us.
I encourage others to look to the future also, for as you have so rightly pointed out, this is a season. My family and I have seen such a season before, but did not plan well for when the season changed (we didn’t imagine that it would), and this a very painful experience. We look forward to enjoying this season to it’s fullest, and I want to lay a good foundation that will still stand tomorrow and bless ourselves and others.
We need to be a people who ‘Choose Life!’ This will be a great witness to many others around us, and provide opportunities to introduce our best friend to them.

It would be nice if the righteous of the world had control which can only be done if we control the money and/or material possessions then we could point toward Jesus. Prov. 29:2 when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the wicked beareth rule, the people morn.

Jeff, not true, the disciples did not control the money, nor did the early church, yet they turned the world upside down. God will accomplish His purpose. He does not need our money.

The context of Jesus’ saying shows us what the salt and light are. They are the joyful willingness to suffering for Christ. Here is what Jesus said, “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. You are the salt of the earth. . . . You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:11-14).
What will make the world taste (the salt) and see (the light) of Christ in us is not that we love wealth the same way they do. Rather, it will be the willingness and the ability of Christians to love others through suffering, all the while rejoicing because their reward is in heaven with Jesus. This is inexplicable on human terms. This is supernatural. But to attract people with promises of prosperity is simply natural. It is not the message of Jesus. It is not what he died to achieve.

I absolutely love, love your analogy of spitting! Yeah, another gross encounter with God! Not only is He a God that repulses the world by expecting us to eat His flesh and drink His Blood (John 6:53-66) but now He’s spitting on us! The world my not want it His way but I’ve got the biggest mugs I can find out under this spout!

Sometimes you come across like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh! You are correct it may not be about money. And the disciples did not have money. But Solomon and Israel had wealth, blessings and PEACE for forty years.
The Bible has good in it also, Abraham and his family had great favor. So did Job, twice!
I have a sweet God living Aunt that always insist “God’s coming back soon” because what she see’s on the news. And maybe she is correct. But, maybe we can ask God for 40 years of favor and peace for today!
Jesus is not about doom and gloom Kern, enjoy what He has given us. God did create the sense of humor and laughter, embrace that as well
