How to Give the devil an Aneurism
May 7th, 2009 | Michael Q. Pink
“When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way side.” (Mat 13:19) “And these are they by the wayside, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan comes immediately, and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.” (Mark 4:15) “Those by the wayside are they that hear; then comes the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.” (Luke 8:12)
Whenever you hear the Word of God or any word God speaks to you, Satan comes immediately to steal that word. Commonly this is done by distraction so subtle that most of the time you don’t even realize what happened. You were reading the Scripture and then the next thing you know, you are at the end of the chapter and you have no idea what you just read.
While reading, your mind was flooded with suddenly important reminders of what you must do that day or perhaps an unresolved argument from the night before. The devil comes to steal that word because he is afraid you might actually believe what you read, gain faith and thus be saved from your trial.
If he can’t distract you, he will attempt to confuse you and block your understanding of the word. This is not my theory, but rather what Jesus taught. Understand this that Satan can’t physically stop you from picking up the Bible and reading, but he will try to distract you, confuse you or make you not understand what you just read.
When you find this happening, stop reading for a moment, ask the Great Teacher, the Holy Spirit to help you and declare out loud if necessary, that today you will read and you will hear and you will understand the Holy Word of God. Further, you will not be a forgetful hearer, but rather an obedient hearer who not only hears, but does what the Word instructs. Let faith arise and give the devil an aneurism today!

Hello Everybody in the Body!
I agree totally. But let me add, we must remember that the Devil dosen’t mind you hearing the word, as he sits in church every Sunday and trembles. But rather, he hates when the TRUTH registers in the heart of the believer. Because that is what the devil is designed to do-to oppose the truth (and to steal and destroy). He knows that the word is able to create a new day, so, that is where the test comes in…You go into an assembly, (or wherever), you hear the truth- it registers-He comes to steal etc….
Give him a total hemaroid by declaring the truth (out of our mouths), by the truth that we have (personally) RECEIVED.
Praise God! He is a defeated foe and a liar!!!

Being the ADHD adult that I am, this is sure right on target, as I am too easily distracted! BUT, GOD in HIS mercy and in HIS plan for my creation is right there every time to straighten my path and put my brain back on track with the conviction HE has placed in my heart. Bless you Michael Pink! KlH

Amen and amen. Thanks for your insightful and very powerful words, Sir.
The devil wants us to focus on the wind and waves and panic even though the Creator of the wind and waves resides within us. It’s hard to get into the word, even when it seems that we have the time. We always tend to find other more “important” things to do. Lord God please forgive us. To read and do the word is what we are called to do. If we could really get into the word like we should, we would be like Paul and Silas and worship the Lord even if in an uncomfortable place (Acts 16:25). To do so takes a undying belief in the accuracy of the Holy Bible. God is good and to know Him is to serve Him. However, in order to know Him we have to spend time in His Word and in His presence.
Thank you very much for your insightful and powerful words. May God’s blessings continue to surround and comfort you.
Percy.

Dear Michael Pink,
May God bless you for this post. You have correctly and very effectively rightly divided and elaborated upon the deep truth you revealed in your previous email entitled, “Don’ t be Robbed”. You even added the verses Mark 4:15 and Luke 8:12 to your original text verse of Matthew 13:19 as both of these verses also record the same deep and secretive teaching Jesus gave to his immediate disciples when he very exclusively revealed to them alone the mystery of God’ s kingdom coming to earth. In his exclusive revelation of God’ s kingdom mystery to them, Jesus was revealing to them the deep prophetic truth that, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing and the honor of kings is to search out a matter.”
Proverbs 25:2
As a former Naval Intelligence Officer during the Vietnam War, I know well the importance of Military Intelligence in wartime and the secrecy required of it. Some who have experienced military life feel the words “Military Intelligence” are an oxymoron because, in their military experience, they saw little, if anything, happening that they would call “intelligent”. ha ha.
But likewise, many who do not understand God’ s universal kingdom plan have a hard time seeing and believing the sublime intelligence of this plan. But I know that God has ordained this to be the case because all mankind have come under the influence of our common evil enemy, the devil, and they cannot be trusted to keep God’ s kingdom plan secret from the devil and his minions. Therefore, St. Paul says in 1Cor. 2:6-8, “Howbeit we speak wisdom (intelligence) among them that are perfect (the spiritually mature and obedient, whom God can trust); yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery (secret), even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” So we see God has had a very good purpose in withholding the truth of his spiritual battle plans from even those who love him.
Almost 2000 years ago, with the Crucifixion of Jesus, God carried out the first victorious phase of his awesome spiritual plan to redeem the world and reoccupy it with his church army, his saints. (See Daniel 7:21-22) Since that first phase has been successfully completed, Father God does not need to maintain as much secrecy. Therefore, much of God’ s secret communications to his army have been declassified and can be discussed in the open as I am doing. (In 2Coritnians 12 :4, St. Paul spoke of “unspeakable words which it is not lawful for a man to utter.) I wonder what these words could be.
In the first phase of God’ s strategic battle plan to destroy the enemy, Satan, and to reoccupy the territory he has usurped from mankind, Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, was crucified on the cross of Calvary. In this very mysterious event, the head of the satanic serpent was bruised (crushed) and nailed to the cross of Calvary in fulfilment of God’ s curse He had placed upon the head of the satanic serpent in the Garden of Eden (See Genesis 3:15) Why do I say this? Well, 2Corithians 5:21 says Jesus was made to be sin for us. The traditional interpretation most of us have been taught is that Jesus was made to be “a sacrifice” for sin. But I think it means that spiritually on the cross Jesus actually became sin, which spiritually speaking is the devil, the father of sin. I believe this because the crucifixion of Jesus was depicted in John 3:14 as similar to the event of Moses lifting up a bronze (dead and ineffective) serpent on a pole before the children of Israel so that when they looked upon the bronze serpent they would be healed of the serpent’s poision. Thus, for this metaphor to make sense, it must mean that a serpent’ s head was nailed to the cross of Calvary.
Ever since Jesus’ s crucifixion, he has been carrying out the rest of the Moses-bronze-serpent metaphor, which is his God-ordained mission, to destroy the works of the devil as St. John reveals to us in 1John 3:8. In destroying the works of the devil, he neutralizes the death-dealing effects of the venom of the satanic serpent, so that when we look upon cross we should see Jesus made to be sin. in other words we should see only the head of Satan nailed to Jesus’ s cross. When we see this spiritual truth, we can say along with St. Paul, I (my selfish sin nature, represented by the head of the serpent) am crucified with Christ but nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me. In 1John 3:8, John lets us know that the battle to restore God’ s kingdom on earth began in the Garden of Eden when the satanic serpent was able to deceive the original parents of mankind into eating from the forbidden tree. “He that commith sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.” When this happened, Satan had effectively usurped the dominion over the Garden of Eden from Adam and Eve. As a consequence, God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden paradise and forced them to temporarily live under Satan’ s dominion in a cursed world in which they would experience pain and suffering and even the ground would be cursed to bring forth thorns and thistles. Adam and Eve would continue to live both spiritually and physically for an appointed period of time, after which their spirits would return to God and their physical bodies would return to the dust from whence they were created. But their MINDS would be carnally dead because of the deadly venom of selfishness(sin) that the satanic serpent had successfully injected into their minds. As you know, Romans 8: 6 says, “To be carnally minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto man but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Therefore the problem of mankind is that our thinking is corrupt and it leads us to death. It is not as the church teaches we are all spiritually dead and must be born again of the spirit. The process of birth is a process of passing from the darkness of a mother’ s womb into the light of the world outside the mother’ s womb. Therefore, the process of being born again as Jesus meant it was the spiritual birthing process whereby God’ s Holy Spirit renews our minds as per Romans 12:1-2 so we can then spiritual see the knigdom of God. When this happens, then we will be able to think righteously so we can prove God’ s perfect will for us and all mandkind, which is Eternal life in Christ Jesus in his kingdom on earth forever and ever.
1Corinthians 5:22 says, “For as in Adam all die, even so it Christ shall all be made alive.” This is God’ s universal kingdom salvation in a nutshell.
Throughout its history, most of mankind has been in darkness regarding this truth because our thinking has been so corrupted by the devil. Only a few men that God has spiritually matured, renewed and perfected in their thinking such as a few Hindu holy men, like R.Tagore, the immediate disciples of Jesus and possibly a few others to whom God revealed the problem (and the solution) of the problem of the selfish-self that has plagued mankind’ s thinking throughhout its history. And of course God has ordained that this be the case otherwise in would not be so. Everything that happens in the universe happens because God has willed it to happen. This is the faith of God. This truth is not negated because mankind may not believe it. Romans 3: 3-4 says, “What if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” (See Psalm 51:4)
I could go on and on expounding upon the revelation of God’ s universal plan to restore his kingdom on earth.
But I think many readers are quite weary of me and everything I have written on your blog, and many may have no idea what I am talking about anyway. So I will stop here.
Kingdom blessings to all.

Dear Michael, thank you for your continous contribution to enrich our lives. For once I must express some uncomfortable feeling here. Why would I bother doing anything against the devil? All his works are by default, the father of lies all he can do is lie. Yeshua defeated him, he is running on borrowed time and playing the same tricks. As for me my works are done by choice, and I choose everyday to have my mind, my soul and my strengh flooded by the reality of my glorious father. I choose to grow and devlop. i choose to succeed no matter what, I choose to create as I see my father in heaven, I choose to live, I choose to focus, I choose to progress, and the sum of all this… it takes care of the devil all right. I virtually never think of him anymore. Contrary to poplular Christian belief, the enemy’s power seem to be dimishing proportional to my embrace of God’s thrust into my life. Why would I spare one thought about satan. No thanks. Ho by the way, I will keep casting devils whenever they cross my path, but even that is probably the easiest task ever, riding on Yeshua’s authority only. For the rest I rest focused on my moment by moment choices to seek first the kingdom and all its power and righteousness. Not much room for the devil there…
Most precious blessings to you Michael!

God knows what the believers need. I am so thankful to be saved, not only saved. But, I have a deliverer who is always on the throne. He intercede in our behalf. He delivered me from so much. I just can’t tell it all.
We are in a (spiritual)war against the evil that is going on in this world. But, our weapons are not of this world. But, our weapons comes from heaven. We must continually to put on the whole armor of God each day.
So, thank you for the revelation knowledge. That he gave us power,to tread over serpents, and scorpions and over all the enemies of the earth. It’s not to boast about that. But, because of salvation we are free. It is nothing that we did. But, it all that HE did for us. I thank you for the blessing today!!! We are to encourage each other! The Bride of Christ!!!
Thank you and God bless you!!!

Great stuff, Michael! It’s so refreshing to read articles like this from a christian businessman’s perspective and not just from a professional minister.
