Faith Cometh by Hearing… Another Look

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
As you no doubt know by now, I find myself in the fiery trial of faith, where what I say I believe is being stress tested in real time with the highest of stakes. My wife’s life lies in the balance and she is fearless, confident and totally peaceful. You can find more details at www.BrendaPink.com. One thing, however, that I wish to share with you is another take on this verse. Please allow me to stop at the first four words…
I have come to discover that faith in any number of things can come by hearing and that can be very dangerous. For example, when the neurosurgeon met with us to review the pathology report, faith in what he was saying started to rise, but the problem was that he was speaking words of death. He was nice about it and well intentioned. His education, demeanor and temperament conspired together to inspire faith in me, but that faith was in the outcome he was predicting and that was not good.
I found that when I immersed myself in God’s Word or in the encouraging words so many of you have sent me, that my faith grew strong in that direction. Seemed simple enough… Stop listening to the voices of gloom, despair and even of sympathy and only tune into the voices of hope and faith and love. Whatever you listen to enough of, you eventually believe. Therefore we must be wise about what or who we choose to listen to.
We must take heed to what we hear! For it is in the hearing that faith arises. What does Scripture say…? Hear O Israel, The Lord our God is one Lord. (Deut 6:4) There is much you can derive from that text and what immediately follows, but may I suggest you temporarily stop at the first three words… Hear O Israel! God is commanding His people to hear Him. Isn’t that what God told the disciples who were with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration? Didn’t God say, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye Him.”
God wants us to hear what He has to say that it might go well with us. Today I silence the voices of doubt and skepticism, who know not what God has promised. I choose to hear Him and in hearing Him, faith will arise in the outcome God has in store. So remember, that faith comes by hearing, regardless of what you hear, so choose wisely what you hear because in the end, you will most likely end up believing it!

In the midst of all you are experiencing you are still an inspiration. I thank you for sharing and remaining close to God. It lets me realize how important having a solid relationship with God is. Also thank you for reminding me to be thankful at all times.

Dear Brenda and Mike,
In the name of Jesus, I speak to root cause of the mass behind Brenda’s right eye and command it to dry up, die and to be discarded from her body. I command every prion to die and to be discarded from Brenda’s body. I command Brenda’s electrical, hormonal, chemical, and magnetic frequencies to be in harmony as God created her body to operate. I release the healing virtue of God to flow from the top of Brenda’s head to the soles of her feet. Holy Spirit, love Brenda in every area she needs to be whole. Strenghthen her, Oh God,in her spirit man by your power to endure and triumph by fighting the good fight of faith. I plead the blood of Jesus upon Brenda spirit, soul and body in Jesus’ name. Brenda you are the healed by Jesus’s stripes! Lord I also ask that you strengthen Michael and the rest of the family. Now Father I seal this prayer in the name of Jesus. Jesus is Lord over Brenda’s life and purpose. I give you the praise, the honor and glory Father for showing yourself strong as Jehovah Rophe in Brenda’s body right now in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah!

Dear Brenda and Mike,
I am standing in complete agreement with these declarations from Karen Gardner, and I sever all agreement with thoughts from the rulers of darkness; casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. I command open eyes and unstopped ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to you Brenda and to you Mike every hour of every day. You shall not fear for the terror by night nor for the arrow that flieth by noonday for God is strengthening you to rise up stronger than your enemies; and your testimony of victory shall reach to the four corners of the world. Praise the name of the Lord! Hallelujah!

FATHER, I too stand with all who support these two people. FATHER we speak healing for Brenda as she has been healed! We speak strength for Michael so he continues to keep his eyes on YOU and his ears tuned to YOUR voice! In YOUR NAME…Amen and…..amen! k

Dear Michael and Brenda, My son was told he had incurrable cancer, that had wrapped itself around his heart and lungs making it impossible to operate on him. Yes the xrays showed his chest full of cancer. That was a fact, but I found out Truth over rules any fact! On three occasions the spirit of death visited him, and you were able to see the dark presence in the p.i.c.u. all it waited on from us was to agree with what we saw. He had become a shell of kin and bones. Once he told us he had died. The fear of death would torment him, when the doctor’s left negative reports. We drilled him with the word that he was to say only what God’s Word said. The blood of Jesus and faith in Jesus name will reverse Any Diagnosis! Our Faith was made to handle whatever we face. They wanted to take me court. My son had every treatment, and he kept getting worse, plus he suffered the side effects. The Lord told me stop it. I asked my son,he was a athelete before this happened what he wanted to do. He said trust the Lord. Within a few months his health returned, that was 13 years ago!

Bro Michael i write from Lagos,Nigeria.Ever since i read the book profile of success and subsequently met you online your write up has always being a blessing even AS YOU & BRENDA WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY…,your write up continues to be really inspirational and a blessing.My prayers and hope in faith are with you as we all wait eagarly to see God a work.Do be strong in Him and keep the faith,the good Lord strengthen you and perfects that which concerns you and Brenda..Amen. There is a children’s song that says “Be careful little ears what you hear” I don’t know if you have heard it but I’m sure your youth pastor can sing it for you. It tells you that “there is a God up above who looks down on you with love so be careful little ears what you hear”. It goes on to tell you the same about your eyes, mouth, feet and hands. I so agree with you that we have to be careful all the time what we hear and see because that is what you will believe. Hang in there Michael. God is good and he will heal.

Michael,
After praying for Brenda last night, I woke up this morning being reminded that we have a spiritual “HOME PAGE” which states that Jesus bore it all ONCE AND FOR ALL! Tell that demon spirit to go out in the name of Jesus; it has no right to stay! You might have to get LOUD!
Sharing from I Peter 1:18-20 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as a lamb without blemish and without spot. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.”
And also from I Peter 2:9,10 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
Praising him ahead of time for the victory that is already yours!

They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY. your testimony overcomes the devil. the accuser of the brethren has been cast down. You are seated far above principalites and powers, together with Jesus.

Thank you Michael and Brenda for being an inspiration to many people. Many of us may be going through various trials and tribulations right now and hearing how you are victoriously overcoming your own challenges through the help of God is quite uplifting. You are right we have to choose what we hear. We have to choose to hear God’s truth over the lies of the enemy if we want to overcome our challenges.
